You can see the top of the 18th Century Grade II listed dovecot,
known locally as the Ducket, on the original settlement of Outchester.
A Dovecot was once a valuable asset, providing a good supply of
meat, eggs and manure.
This cottage has one double bedroom with en suite bathroom with
bath, and one twin bedroom. The main bathroom has a large shower
cubicle.
The cottage has a patio facing west and south, and its own lawned
garden, part walled and part with escallonia hedge.
The cottage's spacious sitting room/kitchen has french doors opening
onto the patio. It has its own oil fired boiler for central heating
and hot water. The kitchen includes a larder fridge, dishwasher,
freezer, and oven/hob all built in, and a microwave. It is equipped
with an automatic clothes washer and seperate tumble drier. There
is also an outside clothes line. The bathroom has a radiator and
heated towel rail. Living room has colour TV & video and all
bedrooms are equipped with colour TV. A telephone situated in a
building at the front of the courtyard is available for the exclusive
use of residents. Cycle stand.
