Ross is a working farm located 3 miles from Belford between Budle Bay and Holy Island. At Ross Farm there are six charming cottages that sleep between four and six people. These cottages are nestled amongst trees within walking distance of the beautiful Ross Sands beach. This tranquil place is the perfect location for getting away from it all. About half of the farm is Ross Links - gently rolling sand dunes where sheep and cattle graze. It has 3 miles of sandy beach along which lies the Old Law, an island of some 60 acres which can be cut off from the mainland at high tide. At the far end of this stand the two Beacons used by boats for guidance into Holy Island harbour. The Ross Low stream runs through the farm for about a mile and is available for fishing. Good quality Lindisfarne Oysters are available from our own oyster beds. - more...
